| newVoce mea | EMP0868 | €2.00 |
| SATB | ISMN M-2056-0868-2 | |
| This delightful miniature is from Croce’s book of four-voice motets of 1597. It is a setting of Psalm 76 (77), verse 1, for which I can find no liturgical application, although the Psalm is sung at Tenebrae of Maundy Thursday, where it is the third Psalm. | ||
| This item is included in: CQE4009 Vol.IX - Motetti 4 voci (hard cover) |

| SATTB Lent - Respond | ISMN M-2056-1073-9 | |
| One of several pieces from Donato's retrospective collection of 1599 which we are publishing for the International Academy of Sacred Music in Venice. This is a setting of the Respond with the Venetian verse 'Peccavimus cum patribus' sung on the first Sunday of Lent. | ||

| newChristus resurgens | EMP1082 | €3.50 |
| SSATB Easter | ISMN M-2056-1082-1 | |
| A magnificent miniature setting of the familiar Eastertide text. Although short, it contains some of Lassus' most striking writing, including bold harmonic devices for the words 'mors, mortuis,' and joyful runs in black notes at 'vivit Deo.' Judging by the final 'Alleluia' Lassus had in mind the Alleluia of Mass on the 5th Sunday of Easter. A new edition, a 4th below the high-clef original, which replaces EMP 0137. | ||

| SSATB Easter | ISMN M-2056-1083-8 | |
| A magnificent miniature setting of the familiar Eastertide text. Although short, it contains some of Lassus' most striking writing, including bold harmonic devices for the words 'mors, mortuis,' and joyful runs in black notes at 'vivit Deo.' Judging by the final 'Alleluia' Lassus had in mind the Alleluia of Mass on the 5th Sunday of Easter. A new edition which replaces EMP 0137. This version is a 3rd below the high-clef original, with the Altus in Treble clef. | ||
| newMira loquor | EMP1072 | €3.50 |
| SATTB STTBaB Non-liturgical - Occasional piece | ISMN M-2056-1072-2 | |
| A setting of the remarkable mediaeval 'Visio Sancti Morandi', a dialogue between the Abbot Morandus and the ghost of St. Bernard of Clairvaux. Available at several different pitches: our catalogue version is a 4th below original pitch: the original requires two cornetti for the top voice in each choir. The piece is available at any required pitch; instrumental parts in any clefs at €2.00 each. | ||
| Lechner, Leonhard (c.1553 - 1606) | ||
| newPassion according to St John | EMP1065 | €8.30 |
| ATTB Good Friday (Karfreitag) - Passion (as Gospel) | ISMN M-2056-1065-4 | |
| Lechner's Passion setting exists only in a manuscript in the University Library in Kassel, where it has the title Historia der Passion und Leidens unsers einigen Erlösers und Seligmachers Jesu Christi nach dem alten lateinischen Kirchenchoral mit vier Stimmen componiert The text is in fact drawn from all four Gospels, and was possibly influenced by Osiander, who was Hofprediger at the court (Hof) of Moritz, Landgraf zu Hessen in Kassel. Lechner's is the only German Passion setting which uses the chant melody of traditional Passion recitation as a cantus firmus. The original is in high clefs and this performing edition is set a fourth lower, especially suitable for male voices. The original spelling of the text has been retained, rather than force a modern German wine into the old skin. | ||

| newMissa Sanctissimae Virgini (Missa In illo tempore) | EMP1080 | €15.00 |
| SSATTB Marian Feasts - Mass Ordinary | ISMN M-2056-1080-7 | |
| A completely new edition replacing the Beauchamp Press version which we took over in 2008. This magnificent setting was the principal work in Monteverdi's 1610 collection which also included the famous Vespers. Based on melodic material from Gombert's 'In illo tempore' the work originally bore the title 'Missa Sanctissimae Virgini'. One of the grandest and most luscious of Monteverdi's works, it deserves to be as well-known as Palestrina's Missa Papae Marcelli or the Byrd 4-voice Mass. Our edition is available down a third (in 'A') as here, down a fourth for male voices, or even at the original high pitch (only suitable for instruments). Instrumental parts at any pitch and in any clef €5,90 each. | ||

| newMissa Cuiusvis toni: Kyrie | EMP1069 | €3.50 |
| SSAB ATBB General Use - Mass Ordinary | ISMN M-2056-1069-2 | |
| Ockeghem's Missa Cuiusvis toni is so composed that it may be sung in 'any tone'; it is provided with four sets of clefs and signatures so that, by applying the rules of musica ficta, the piece really does work in four different 'keys'. I have realised the Kyrie in four versions for SATB. This newly revised and typeset version replaces the manuscript edition of 1997 which is now withdrawn. | ||
