Published by arrangement with Acqua Alta Editions (New York) this is the first modern edition of Massaino's 4th book of 5-part madrigals, and one of the first modern editions of any of his music. The collection is especially notable for the fine setting of Petrarch's sestina 'La ver l'aurora'. The settings are either SSATB or SATTB; the high clef pieces are included at original pitch: an Appendix is available, offering these pieces at transposed pitch (a fourth lower).Individual pieces may also be ordered, either at original or transposed pitch: these will gradually be listed in the catalogue (marked *).
